I have made a couple of last-minute changes to the league settings that I only realized mattered about two seconds ago (thanks Tragic BABIPs).
First, since we changed to roto scoring instead of head-to-head, weekly add drops no longer apply. That’s right, you can add or drop more than three players a week. Stream away. However, there is a maximum season total of 525 innings pitched by all your pitchers combined. That number, 525, is Yahoo’s recommendation (see attached). Waiver wire rules are the same.
After consulting with some league managers, I decided that a max inning limit is a better solution than limiting the total number of player add drops. With coronavirus floating around there is no telling how many players will get sick or drop out.
The other change, I’ve added a trade deadline of September 6th, also Yahoo’s default date. Originally I didn’t see any value in having a trade deadline at all because nothing that we do this season can affect other seasons. However, having a trade deadline does limit any shenanigans that may possibly happen. It’s safer this way.
Reminder that the draft is: Thursday, July 16th at 5PM PST (8PM EST).
