2019 is the last year in which draft picks can be traded. In 2021 (2020 exempt as an exhibition season) they cannot be traded because we are switching to an auction. In an auction draft pick rounds don’t have the same value as a snake draft because managers can nominate players in any order.
2019 draft picks trades will have a value translated into auction dollars for 2020. In short, this is the only year in which managers may start the auction with more or less than $260.

RAISES
In 2020 you can keep up to three players for up to three years, but each year kept players must be given a $5 raise. You are not required to keep any players.
Example: Manager A keeps an $11 player. They must give the player a $5 raise and keep them at $16. The following year Manager A can keep the same player for $21. After three years the player is released.
RAISES RELATING TO TRADES
A traded keeper will retain their price and year status. The new manager must pay the raise to keep the player. The player cannot be kept beyond three years even if they are traded.
Example: Manager A keeps the $11 player. In the second year Manager A trades the player to Manager B. Manager B must pay $16 to keep the player. Manager B may keep the player the following year for $21. Beyond that Manager B must release the player in the third year.

2019 TRADED KEEPER RULE
NOTE: The 2019 trading rule, “If a keeper is traded, and that team receiving the keeper wants to keep him, then the [new owner] will revert back to the original previous year’s pick [rule 1c]” will be honored because the trade happened under 2019 rules.
Example: Manager A owned a player in 2018 and kept him for 2019 (1st year keeper) as an 8th round pick. In 2019 Manager A traded the player to Manager B. Manager B could keep the player at the 8th round value ($11) and the clock would be considered 1st year keeper.
